An indie author support network
Hey guys!
I'm Elena (duh haha) and this May 22, 2020 marks my first year of self publishing.
I have learned beyond A LOT (who makes the best stickers, how important graphics are, how to navigate PR companies, release parties, street teams, and most of all how hard it is to find your tribe in all this).
So here we are, The Inner Circle was birthed at 1:40 PM after responding to a private message about joining a paranormal author group. I joined, gave it a fair shot, respected the engagement and still didn’t feel that spark I wanted to in finding my people.
Mind you I have a street team for multi authors called Torment Me Street Team and it's slow to start but I wanted a space where things are easier. Bloggers do so much already that it looks like a full time job (serious props) and authors are supporting authors (dope) BUT no one was talking the logistics of what we do.
As I entered this world of self-publishing I crashed into every wall and rule with so much gusto that I felt endlessly annoyed that if there are rules why aren't the visible.
Half the people I wrote to promote my debut had a price tag attached so I assumed that was normal. Pay to play. I learned real quick from some not so nice bloggers that is a huge no-no. You'd never know it until someone beats you over the head with it.
These are the things stopping indie authors from finding that success - we don't want to try and do it all wrong, we can't see the rules, bigger authors aren't accessible to ask and we have to somehow figure it all out on our own.
The Inner Circle is an indie author support network where you can find a tribe, ask for help, work through the blocks, get advice and lean on people who have stumbled around the same paths.
So come join the page on FACEBOOK or simply look for the blogs here!
